Centered on the theme “Christ is All”, Delegates
selected by their geographic regions from around the globe met for the
2011 ICOC annual Delegates Conference in Budapest, Hungary December
1-2. We dearly missed the Delegates from East and West Africa whose
visas were denied.
Churches in 137 countries representing over 90% of the membership in the International Churches of Christ family have committed to the Plan for United Cooperation.
Each year the spirit of cooperation and unity grows and matures. The
annual Delegates Conference will be held before a regional conference
in various parts of the world to give an opportunity for the Delegates
to meet disciples on all continents. We look forward to the 2012
meeting preceding the 2012 World Discipleship Summit
in San Antonio, Texas which is scheduled for July 5 – 8 with over
10,000 expected. Here are the highlights of the 2011 Delegates
Conference:
The International Churches Of Christ Cooperation Churches are coordinated by Delegates who are commended by the brothers in their regions of the world. Their purpose is to to glorify God by creating and maintaining unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace among churches, leaders and members.
Each year about 100 Delegates from around the world meet to pray and plan for the advancement of God's mission among the International Churches of Christ. Here is a report of the 2009 meeting considered to be the best one so far.
The International Churches of Christ continue to seek God's will for their cooperation as a movement of churches with the passion to love God, each other and the lost world around us. A crucial element for God's mission is for leaders to work together in unity from 150 countries around the world. Through much prayer and discussion, the leadership has decided to cooperate through a group of Delegates from the various areas of the world. Their roles and responsibilities are published here. These will continually be examined and modified to accomplish God's purpose.
